[dentistry.unsoed.ac.id, Sab, 15/07/2017] Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed berdiri sejak tahun 2008 lalu. Institusi ini terdiri dari jenjang pendidikan S1 Kedokteran Gigi serta pada tahun 2012 didirikan juga pendidikan profesi Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Unsoed. Hingga tahun 2017 awal ini tercatat Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed telah meluluskan 53 dokter gigi.
Dalam rangka mempererat hubungan antar alumni dan civitas akademika di Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed, telah dibentuk sebuah Ikatan Alumni Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed sejak 2016 lalu. Peran alumni di Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed tentunya sangat dibutuhkan demi kemajuan Keluarga Besar Mahasiswa Kedokteran Gigi (KBMGK) Unsoed yang lebih baik.
Melalui program kerja Departemen Eksternal Himpunan Mahasiswa Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed 2017/2018, maka terlaksana kegiatan 1st Alumni Gathering Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed, Sabtu,15 Juli 2017. Kegiatan berlangsung pada malam hari, setelah Seminar Nasional Soedirman Dental Scientific Meeting 2017. Adapun tema yang diangkat adalah “Meeting, Sharing and Caring to Contribute”. Tema ini bermakna agar alumni dapat saling bertemu dan berbagi cerita mengenang perjuangan saat masih dalam masa perkuliahan serta meningkatkan kepedulian alumni untuk berkontribusi membangun Kedokteran Gigi Unsoed menjadi semakin baik.
